“Cold Lips is artistic and fabulous…” John Cooper Clarke
“The scruffy literary mag by longtime Le Cool fave, Kirsty Allison” Le Cool London
COLD LIPS 🖤 No B-Listers
Founded above a strip-club in east London in 2016, the first edition was created to sell at the anti-literary (now defunct) night, the Sylvia Plath Fan Club (where Anne McCloy, Gary Fairfull, Nina Antonia, Lisa Moorish, Murray Lachlan Young, Kelli Ali, Erik Stein, Gil De Ray, Gail Porter, Ray Gange, Tony White, Tim Wells, Lana Citron, Rushika Wickramasinghe, Rachel Almeida, and many more came together).
Art directed by Tomato’s Jason Kedge, with photography by Jason McGlade, with a launch party which featured performances from Lola Coca, Jessica Winter, Sue Webster, Johny Brown from Band of Holy Joy, it found itself greeted well.
Second edition party featured cover star, Dr John Cooper Clarke, and live performances from Kirsty Allison with Malcolm McLaren drumming protege, and writer himself, Dave Barbarossa (their first gig), alongside Nina Antonia with drummer Chris Musto, Gil De Ray, MATA, and DJs Wildcat Will, Barnzley, Graham Bendel, Jody Porter and Sean McLusky.
The third edition is currently underway…
